Bridges of Faith: Why We’re Doing This

Episode 1

In this first episode of Love for the Unseen God, hosts Josh Thomas and Dr. Geoff Dugue open up about what led them to hit “record.” What began as unstructured conversations about God—filled with curiosity, conviction, and mutual respect—has become a space for honest dialogue across differences.
Josh is a recently reborn follower of Jesus with a background in yoga, energy healing, and spiritual exploration. Geoff is a lifelong follower of Jesus, a medical doctor, and a scientific researcher who brings a thoughtful, analytical lens to matters of faith. Together, they represent two ends of a spectrum—different generations, different experiences, and different ways of thinking—but they meet in the middle with humility, affection, and a shared desire to know God more deeply.
In this episode, they reflect on why they started the podcast, what the title Love for the Unseen God means to them, and how spiritual growth often starts with good questions, not perfect answers. They discuss the influence of Paul’s writings, the challenge of interpreting biblical metaphors, and the importance of being open and vulnerable in conversations about faith.
